Dory isn’t the only creature keeping busy around here lately.

The river has been full of sea lions following the spring salmon run. I've been out fishing at sunset when the weather allows, but so far, no luck. Dory watches this from the window with great indignation, wondering why I'm outside and he's not.

Sadly, Dory’s deck privileges are currently suspended, because we have a duck nesting in one of our planters. She’s incubating ten eggs (that we can count). Of course I set up a webcam, and hopefully we’ll get to watch the ducklings hatch!

Soon enough, Dory will be back to lounging on the sunny deck chairs—just as soon as the duck family safely moves along.
