THE BIG NEWS

Join My New Writing Cohort!

Do you need structured writing time, like I do? Join my writing cohort— a supportive group that meets regularly—starting in September! Twice a week, we’ll gather on Zoom for two hours of focused writing. Each hour starts with a 15-minute chat about progress and intentions, then we turn off cameras for 45 minutes of silent writing. It’s a flexible, supportive space to stay accountable and connect with fellow writers of all skill levels.

Ready to make writing a priority? I've got more details here.

Now, why am I starting this cohort? Read on!

Kelsey Steps Into the Spotlight

The time has come—I’m starting work on book two in the Incubadora series.

I’m about to begin my journey into the inner life of Kelsey, a character who brought so much energy and warmth to Painting Celia. Kelsey is a fan favorite, and I knew even before finishing my first book that her story would be fascinating. It is time for Kelsey to step into the spotlight as our new protagonist.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the fair to visit me at the Oregon Authors Table. I met some wonderful fellow authors and even sold a book or five.

DORY'S CORNER

Dory is settled in at our new river house, and has two princely demands: sleeping and eating.

In the morning, he naps on the cushioned chairs on the lanai, and in the afternoon sun, he sleeps under them. He might lose interest once the fall rains start!

As for eating, I have around a hundred houseplants and am struggling to find them homes high enough that Dory can't reach them. He’ll chomp on any leaf he can, tasty or not.

Makes me wish he'd spend more time napping!

WILL YOU HELP ME?

If you have read (or listened!) to Painting Celia and not yet left a review, would you type one up soon? Reviews are what lead other readers to the book. The most valuable places to leave one are Amazon and Goodreads.

I would be so grateful, my friends!
